President
​Jean-Jacques St. Leroux
Picture
Jean-Jacques St. Leroux is a third-year double-majoring in Mathematics and Information Systems and minoring in Economics. Jean-Jacques interned in J.P. Morgan's Investment Bank in summer 2023, and will intern in Quant Risk Research at Capstone Investment Advisors in summer 2024. He seeks to obtain his PhD in Operations Research. Jean-Jacques's research interests in stochastic volatility, optimization algorithms in Brownian economic movements, and applied Riemannian optimization.

​Jason Roehrs

Jason Roehrs is a third year double-majoring in Economics and Finance. Jason has multitudinous undergraduate work experience in the venture capital and private equity fields, having interned for companies such has Rev1 Ventures, L3Harris Technologies, and VANA Ventures. Jason studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain in Summer 2023. Outside of UES, Jason is also a member of Buckeye Ventures and Phi Chi Theta business & economics fraternity.

Avery Lowden

Avery Lowden is a third-year majoring in Economics and minoring in Spanish. She previously served as UES's first Director of Member Relations where she created the framework for member engagement & retention practices. Avery interned in the finance department of the Ohio Department of Development and is a research assistant on campus. Avery has traveled abroad her past two summers being at Ohio State, most recently visiting Paris, Madrid, and Lisbon in the summer of 2023.

Gabbie Abbruzzese

Gabbie is a second-year majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with a minor in French on the Pre-Law track. A student in the university Honors program, Gabbie interned for The Legal Aid Society of Columbus under the housing conditions office and traveled to Italy during the summer of 2023. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity, holding a position on the Professional Development Committee, and is a member Kappa Alpha Theta.

Navya Guduri

Navya Guduri is a second-year double-majoring in Public Policy Analysis and Spanish with a minor in Economics on the Pre-Law track. Navya is a university Honors student, and after her freshman year held an internship as a victims' rights advocate intern for the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center. Navya aims to earn her J.D. after graduation and exercise her passions in international affairs and the nonprofit sector.

Deason Xu

Deason Xu is a third-year majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics and Social Psychology. Deason has a strong passion for data & analytics, winning the 1st Place & Best Insight award at the 7th annual Ohio State DataFest. Deason held a cognitive development research position during the summer of 2023, working in Ohio State's groundbreaking COSI Language Sciences Research Lab. He aims to enter the field of data science upon earning his degree.

Luka Krejsa

Luka Krejsa is a second-year double-majoring in Economics and Psychology. In his first year as the DOE for UES – a role he restored from 2020 – Luka has obtained UES partnerships for recruiters across academia and industries, most notably recruiting job promotion opportunities with AlphaSights and Amazon, as well as playing a crucial role formulating a collaboration event between UES, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Women in Economics to host the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

Abbey Black
Picture
Abbey Black is a fourth-year double majoring in Economics and Mathematics, with a minor in Statistics. Utilizing multiple years of internship experience in data analytics, data governance, and academic research, Abbey created the first project management curriculum for UES where she teaches technical skills such as R, Stata, and Excel through workshops, better preparing Economics students for analytical responsibilities encountered in research/work.
